The second annual Oktoberfeast is nearly here! On Saturday, October 5th, our brewery will be overrun by a delicious medley of Vermont-made foods from over 25 Vermont vendors in a fabulous farmers market-style set-up.
Join us from Noon to 5pm and sample some foods, buy some foods, dance to the Blind Owl Band, drink some great beer and help benefit the Vermont Foodbank with your $5 entry fee and numerous raffles throughout the afternoon. Last year Oktoberfeast attendees helped to raise over $10,000, and we’re looking to do the same again this year!
The 4th annual Wall to Canvas live art competition hits the brewery tomorrow afternoon, from 12 to 6pm!
While all our brewery events are spectacular, this one is probably the most unique. 12 artists from around the region have been selected to paint, spray and play their way through the day, creating a work of incredible art while revelers watch, drink beer and get their groove on.
Come on down for some cold brews, including special cask offerings, Chubby Muffin eats and good vibes. Check out the poster above for details, or visit the Wall to Canvas page at magichat.net.
This weekend, one of the best-named music festivals in the country will take place in Devens, MA. The Nines Festival takes place Saturday, August 10th, and features a spectacular day-long lineup of music, art, comedy and, yes, plenty of Magic Hat beer.
Explosions in the Sky, Dr. Dog, Delta Spirit and Shuggie Otis are but a few of the amazing acts that have been assembled. Join us down in MA for the day and get down.
Tickets are still available, so check out The Nines Festival website for more info.
Burlington-based artist, Haley A. Bishop, takes over The Artifactory ArtSpace on Friday, June 7th! Haley’s exhibition is part of her reward for winning the 2012 Labels for Libations contest, for which we teamed with SEABA to ask local artists to design a label for our brewery-exclusive Art Hop Ale.
To celebrate the release of Art Hop Ale and the hanging of Haley’s work, we’re throwing a little party at the brewery from 6-8pm. Join us for pints, music, snacks and more! All proceeds from the sale of Art Hop Ale will go to SEABA, our partners in the Labels for Libations contest. We hope to see you there!
Heavyfest 3 returns to our brewery this Saturday, May 18th! It’s a glorious celebration of Vermont-made music, Vermont-made beer and, as an added bonus this year, American Craft Beer Week! Yessir!
$3, which goes directly to our beneficiary, Big Heavy World, gets you in. After that, drink, dance and mow down some Skinny Pancake crepes all afternoon long. If you need a break, head on inside for a brewer-led tour of the brewery, or some free samples at our growler bar. We’re ready for you…are you ready for Heavyfest?
The first festival of our 2013 season kicks off at Noon today in Kerhonkson, NY. The Rock n Roll Resort is a festival unlike any other. Why? Because they rage IN A RESORT! For three days, they take over the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa and all it’s amazing amenities from mini golf to poker tournaments to yoga and much more. Also, there’s a load of awesome music. This year’s lineup includes headliners Soulive along with Ryan Montbleau Band, Kung Fu, Pimps of Joytime, Nigel Hall Band and many more to fill up nearly every hour over the next 72 hours.
If you’re in the Hudson Valley area, get up on this.
Welcome to April, folks. It’s finally beginning to warm up a bit, and before you know it, it’ll be 80, sunny and loud outside. Yep, music festivals are just around the corner. For those of us who are veterans of the festival circuit, you most likely know what’s required for a guaranteed good time out there. For those of you who will be heading to your first, be sure to go prepared. Good, cleanable shoes, sunblock, water, cash, homies, tent, hand sanitizer, some TP. Those are just the basics. A solid state of mind, a good schedule, some Immodium, no cares and canned beer are some others. Here’s a nice little list that may help. We’ll be at a bunch of festivals this year, slingin’ beer and dancing around. If you’re hitting any, let us know which ones.
“After four years aboard the MSC Poesia, the next Jam Cruise will take place on a different boat: the larger MSC Divinia. And the boat won’t be the only thing that’s different about Jam Cruise 12 as event organizers Cloud 9 Adventures have also revealed that the Divinia will leave from Miami instead of Jam Cruise’s usual departure port of Ft. Lauderdale.” Read More »>
